Observations on the pathetic state of American politics

GOP: Tax Relief for the Rest of Us? No Way!

Let’s get this straight.   The Republicans have made it clear for at least the last decade that they oppose all taxes.   Period.  Taxes are bad.  They have cut tax rates for the rich and for corporations.

But wait.  A 2010 deduction in employee payroll tax rate from 6.2% to 4.2% is set to expire at the end of this year.  President Obama wants to extend it; the GOP is vehemently opposed.  The same greedy SOBs that insisted on extending huge tax cuts for 0.1% of the super rich now oppose tiny tax cuts that effect 46% of working Americans.

Do we need any more evidence that the GOP is the Party of the select Rich and that they truly despise the regular working folks?
